Checking the Transmission

Check the condition of the transmission by carrying out the following series of tests:
1. Checking the transmission fluid level, refer to Automatic Transmission Fluid, Testing and Inspection.
2. Checking the Stalling" speed, refer to Checking The Stalling Speed.





3. Checking hydraulic pressure,
4. Checking manual shifting, refer to Shift Linkage, Testing and Inspection for "Checking manual shifting".
When conducting fault diagnosis of symptoms, always perform a road text as described in "Road test schedule", refer to Transmission Control Systems, Testing and Inspection. Indicated faults determine how to proceed with fault diagnosis as shown in the table mechanical and hydraulic faults".
