Checking The Lead Connected To The Main Instrument Unit







Unplug the connector:
- Main instrument unit 20-pin connector (540)






















- Connect a test lamp to B+ and pin 10 of the MIU (K20).







- Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.







- The ABS lamp in the main instrument unit should go on for 3 seconds and then go out. (If no ABS trouble codes have been generated.)

Checking the wiring harness.
Jiggle the leads and in-line connectors at several places and in different directions to reveal intermittent breaks and short circuits in the wiring harness. Observe the multimeter, test lamp or diagnostic tool while doing this.

Is the function correct?

NO - Rectifying the Lead

YES - Changing Components
