Checking the Lead From Switch to Control Module - II




Checking the Lead From Switch to Control Module







Unplug the connector:
- Switch, cruise control (141)

















Take a resistance reading between
8 - Switch, Cruise Control
1(A) - Cruise control module


The reading should be 0 Ohm - 1 Ohm

Checking the Wiring Harness
Jiggle the leads and in-line connectors at several places and in different directions to reveal intermittent breaks and short circuits in the wiring harness. Observe the multimeter, test lamp or diagnostic tool while doing this.

Is the function correct?

NO - Rectifying the Lead - II

YES - Continue with Checking the Lead From Switch to Control Module

















Take a resistance reading between
9 - Switch, Cruise Control
3(C) - Cruise control module


The reading should be 0 Ohm - 1 Ohm

Checking the Wiring Harness
Jiggle the leads and in-line connectors at several places and in different directions to reveal intermittent breaks and short circuits in the wiring harness. Observe the multimeter, test lamp or diagnostic tool while doing this.

Is the function correct?

NO - Rectifying the Lead - III

YES - Continue with Checking the Lead From Switch to Control Module

















Take a resistance reading between
10 - Switch, Cruise Control
2(B) - Cruise control module


The reading should be 0 Ohm - 1 Ohm

Checking the Wiring Harness
Jiggle the leads and in-line connectors at several places and in different directions to reveal intermittent breaks and short circuits in the wiring harness. Observe the multimeter, test lamp or diagnostic tool while doing this.

Is the function correct?

NO - Rectifying the Lead - IV

YES - Changing Components - III
