Downshifting. Mechanical Fault.







Fault symptoms
CHECK GEARBOX warning lamp on.
TCM in limp-home mode.

Conditions
Input speed at downshifting shows a speed above:

225 km/h to 3rd gear.
132 km/h to 2nd gear.
76 km/h to 1st gear.

Diagnostic help
The malfunction primarily indicates mechanical defects and can hardly result from a malfunction in the management system. Transmission wear can result in rough shifting and a non-functional Lock Up.
