Check Wiring Between Control Module & Passenger Impact Sensor

Check the Wiring Harness Between the Control Module and the Passenger's Side Impact Sensor

- Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position.

Unplug the connector:
- Impact sensor, passenger door, front (328P)
- Check pins 1 and 2 for open circuit/pin slid-out and rectify if necessary.

Unplug the connector:
- Control module, Airbag (331)
- Check pins 43 and 44 for open circuit/pin slid-out and rectify if necessary.
- Connect the break-out box (BOB) to the wiring harness.

Take a resistance reading between
- 43 - Control module, Airbag
- 2 - Impact sensor, passenger's door, front

The reading should be 0 Ohm - 2 Ohm
Checking the wiring harness
Jiggle the leads and in-line connectors at several places and in different directions to reveal intermittent breaks end short circuits in the wiring harness. Observe the multimeter test lamp or diagnostic tool while doing this.

Is the function correct?

NO - Rectifying the Lead

YES - Continue with Check the Wiring Harness Between the Control Module and the Passenger's Side Impact Sensor

Measure the resistance. The value should be infinite.
