Power Seat Relay. Open Circuit / Short to Ground







Fault symptoms
A to B+ gives the symptom that the electrically adjustable passenger seat cannot be operated.
An open-circuit/short-circuit to ground gives the symptom that the seat can be operated irrespective of the ignition key position or door position. The battery will discharge in the end.

Conditions
No diagnostic trouble code is generated for voltage under 11 V and diagnostic communication.

Diagnostic help
The control module output can be activated using the diagnostic tool.

Checking the Relay Coil's Power Supply
