Checking the Wiring Harness







- Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position.







Unplug the connector:
- Main instrument unit 20-pin connector (540)












- Connect test lamp 86 11 857 between B+ and pin 1 of the 20-pin connector on the main instrument unit.







- Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.
- The test lamp should go on for 3 seconds after which it should go off for 0.5 seconds and then go on again.

Is the function correct?

NO - Rectifying the Lead

YES - Continue with Checking the Wiring Harness












Change: the airbag lamp in the MIU.
