Checking The Lamp












- Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position.

Unplug the connector:
- Main instrument unit 20-pin connector (540)






















- Connect a test lamp to B+ and pin 1 of the MIU (K20).







- Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.







- The airbag lamp in the main instrument unit should go on for 3 seconds and then go out. (If there are no trouble codes in Airbag module.)

Checking the wiring harness.
Jiggle the leads and in-line connectors at several places and in different directions to reveal intermittent breaks and short circuits in the wiring harness. Observe the multimeter, test lamp or diagnostic tool while doing this.

Is the function correct?

NO - Rectifying the Lead

YES - Continue with Checking the Lamp.







Change: the airbag lamp in the MIU.
