Changing the Gear Lever Bearing Arrangement

To Remove
1. Remove the gear lever.





2. Remove the spring which tensions the ball socket ring and detach the ball socket ring by turning it anti-clockwise (bayonet fitting). Remove the ball socket.
3. In order to remove the ball socket ring from the gear lever, the gear lever knob must be removed.


To Fit
1. Lubricate the bearing with Gleitmo 750, or equivalent.





2. Insert the gear lever in the ball socket.
3. Hook the spring onto the ball socket ring. Insert the ring in the ball socket and make sure that the spring is under the ring's lug Then tension and secure the spring in the hook on the ball socket.
4. Fit the gear lever.
