Turbo Bypass Control Valve

To remove
1 Remove the cover over the engine harness connector.







2 Unplug the upper multiconnector.
3 Unplug the two pin connector from the control valve.







4 Unscrew both retaining nuts and loosen the windscreen cover weatherstrip.
5 Carefully pull out the mounting plate and unhook it from edge of the bulkhead. Lift up the unit.
6 Unplug the lower multiconnector.
7 Mark the vacuum hoses and detach them from the valve.







8 Lift out the holder and drill away the pop rivets.

To fit







1 Fasten a new valve to the holder with pop rivets and lift in the holder.
2 Connect the vacuum hoses to the valve.







3 Plug in the lower multiconnector.
4 Fit the mounting plate.
5 Fit the windscreen cover weatherstrip and tighten both the retaining nuts.
6 Spray the two pin connector with Kontakt 61 (part no.30 04 520) and plug it into the control valve.
7 Plug in the upper multiconnector.







8 Fit the cover over the engine harness connector.
