Air Bypass Valve: Testing and Inspection

Checking the charge air bypass valve







1 Disconnect the vacuum hose from the charge air bypass valve.
2 Connect the pressure/vacuum pump, tool no. 30 14 883, and create a vacuum in the valve.
3 Check that the diaphragm is intact. If the diaphragm is damaged, no vacuum can be created.







4 Repeat points 2 and 3 but pump up a pressure.
5 Disconnect the pump.
6 Connect the vacuum hose.
