Air Temperature Sensor ( Ambient / Intake ): Service and Repair

To remove





1 Undo the rubber cap and connector.
2 Remove the sensor.

To fit





1 Inspect the sealing washer and replace if necessary.
Apply Vaseline or equivalent to the threads of the sensor. Fit the sensor.

Tightening torque 7 Nm (5 lbf ft)

2 Spray the connector with Kontakt 61 contact cleaner (part no.30 04 520). Plug in the connector.
3 Fit the rubber cap.
