Lighting For Buttons And Controls
Lighting For Buttons And Controls
The intensity of the lighting for buttons and controls can be adjusted with a potentiometer.
DICE supplies the lighting for buttons and controls with a pulse width modulated voltage (0-100%) from pin 49.
SID outputs the rheostat value 0-100% to the bus, the value depending on the rheostat setting and the cabin light sensor value. DICE uses the value to control the power supply to the lighting for buttons and controls.
If Night Panel is activated, DICE uses the rheostat Night Panel (0-100%) instead of the rheostat (0-100%). The lighting for buttons and controls switches to Night Panel, i.e. the light intensity is reduced.
Important
If DICE does not receive the rheostat information via the instrument bus when the ignition is turned on, the rheostat value is set to 71%. If the rheostat value suddenly disappears, DICE freezes the current value until the information is again available on the instrument bus (I-BUS).
