Besides the sound insulation matting fitted in the body, there is also a special foam insulating material used under the rear door panes, in the luggage compartment, in front of the rear wheel housing and in the C-pillar.

The foam insulating material is initially compressed to form a flat panel and shaped for the space where it will be fitted. In production, it is inserted in the intended space and subsequently swells up into foam during the surface treatment process at about 180 degrees C.
