Reinforcements

Reinforcement

Areas of the body that are most vulnerable in the event of a collision are reinforced. In addition, some of these reinforcements are manufactured in high-strength steel. The circled areas are especially vulnerable and require extreme care during bodywork repair.

1. Outside of front wheel housing
2. Lower part of A-pillar
3. Upper part of A-pillar
4. Door sill
5. Bulkhead in door sill
6. B-pillar
7. Upper part of side panel
8. Lower section of side plate

IMPORTANT: Body reinforcements must only be cut and joined if they are specifically covered in the description of the methods. Unless otherwise stated, it is mandatory to discard and replace the damaged reinforcement component.
