Check the Wiring Harness Between the Control Module and Airbag





- Check the orange 3-pin connector on the wiring harness for an open circuit/pin slide-out and rectify it if necessary.

Plug in the connector.
- Contact roller, steering wheel (336a)





Unplug the connector:
- Breakout box. (BOB)
- Check pins 1 and 2 of the control module's 45-pin connector for an open circuit/pin slide-out and rectify them if necessary.

Plug in the connector.
- Breakout box. (BOB)









Measure the resistance. The value should be infinite.

Checking the wiring harness.
Jiggle the leads and in-line connectors at several places and in different directions to reveal intermittent breaks and short circuits in the wiring harness. Observe the multimeter, test lamp or diagnostic tool while doing this.

Is the reading correct?

NO - Repair or replace the lead concerned. Final Check

YES - Continue with Check the Wiring Harness Between the Control Module and Airbag









Measure the resistance. The value should be infinite.

Checking the wiring harness.

Is the reading correct?

NO - Rectifying the Lead

YES - Changing Components - II
