Gearbox Removed

To Remove





1. Pry out the seal using a narrow screwdriver.

IMPORTANT: Do not damage the sealing surface on the selector rod.


To Fit
1. Clean the selector rod and check that it has no burrs.





2. Wind a layer of thin, smooth plastic tape around the hole in the selector rot
Remove the tape and tap in the seal with assembly tool 87 90 685 and clamp 87 91 709. Only tap so far that the seal is flush with the clutch housing.
