Fuel Shut-Off







Fuel Shut-Off

If any of the following criteria are fulfilled, fuel shutoff will take place:
- no power supply (+15 circuit)
- full throttle during starter motor cranking
- engine speed over 6200 rpm.
- mass air flow/combustion over 1300 mg/c
- immobilization code faulty
- throttle turned by hand when engine running
- serious fault in throttle valve control
- a pedal position sensor fault if engine speed exceeds 2200 rpm
- ignition discharge module not supplied with current
- engine speed over 1800 rpm and accelerator fully released. Coolant temperature exceeds 20°C. For manual gearboxes, this applies to 3rd, 4th and 5th gears. For automatic transmissions, this applies to 2nd. 3rd and 4th gears. Fuel injection is re-activated at 1400 rpm.

Diagnostics
If TWICE does not send out "Immobilizer OFF" after the ignition has been switched on or if the Trionic T7, TWICE or MIU control modules are replaced and the immobilization code is not programmed in TWICE, diagnostic trouble code P1460 will be generated and the engine cannot be started.
