Tailgate 5D, Adjustment

Adjusting the tailgate forwards, backwards and sideways







1 Open the tailgate.
2 Remove the hinge seals from the tailgate.
3 Undo the bolts securing the tailgate to the hinges.







4 Adjust up (backwards) or down (forwards).
5 Adjust sideways.







6 Tighten the screws.
7 Fit the hinge seals.

Adjusting the tailgate upwards and downwards







1 Open the tailgate.
2 Remove the side supports.
3 Pull off the weatherstrip sufficiently to reveal the cover plates.
4 Remove the side cover plates.
5 Remove the upper cover plate.
6 Remove the D-pillar trim, roof cover plates, load net holders, clips and the cover plates between the C and D-pillars.







7 Lower the headlining slightly. Make sure it does not bend.
8 Undo three bolts on each hinge (one bolt inside).







9 Make the adjustment by raising or lowering the tailgate.
10 Screw on the tailgate.
11 Hold up the headlining and fit the roof cover plates, D-pillar trim and the cover plates between the C and D-pillars and the load net holders.
12 Fit the covers round the luggage compartment opening.
