Antenna - Keyless Entry: Description and Operation

Antenna Unit, Immobilizer

The antenna unit, immobilizer, is a receiver for the car key identification code. This is placed next to (around) the ignition lock and grounded through grounding point G24. The antenna is connected to the TWICE control module at the following pins:

Power supply B+ Pin 50
Signal (data) Pin 39

Function
The car is equipped as standard with a system which prevents the car starting without the correct key. The key contains a transponder with an identification code which is unique to that transponder. The receiver receives the identification code and sends this to TWICE.
