Charge air bypass valve

To remove






1 Remove the cover over the connector for the engine wiring harness.
2 Unplug the upper multipin connector.






3 Unplug the two-pin connector from the control valve.
4 Undo the two retaining nuts and remove the windscreen cover panel's sealing strip.
5 Carefully pull the retaining panel outwards and unhook it from the edge of the bulkhead partition. Lift the unit straight up.
6 Unplug the lower multipin connector.
7 Mark the vacuum hoses and disconnect them from the valve.






8 Remove the holder and drill out the pop rivets.

To fit
Fasten a new valve to the holder with pop rivets.
Then refit in reverse order.
Spray the connector with Kontakt 61 contact cleaner (pan No. 30 21 763).
