General
RDS (Radio Data System) is an information system transmitted in Europe in parallel with the radio programmes on the FM band. The RDS system ensures that reception is always optimum, irrespective of your location. The RDS function automatically searches for the best transmitter.

Function
The RDS radio contains a double tuner. This improves the quality of RDS reception as one tuner is used solely to decode the RDS information and the other solely for reception of audio information. The change-over interruption on reception therefore remains minimal, and the frequency change inaudible.
