Background
After a period of use, the rear doors may gradually become more difficult to open from outside. The problem occurs especially in warm climates. Certain components in the lock unit have therefore been given a different surface treatment, which has improved operation.
Change the lock units after customer complaint.

45 50 828 Water barrier, left-hand

45 50 836 Water barrier, right-hand

Procedure
Replace the lock unit as described in WIS "Doors and locks", "Adjustment/replacement", "Door lock. rear door".
NOTE:
The gray water barrier must be replaced if it is damaged or cannot be resealed after removal. This barrier helps maintains the correct function of the side air-bag.
