Manual Transmission/Transaxle: Application and ID

Type designation for manual gearboxes is divided into 3 groups of characters as in the following example: FM57 BO1 A12345

The three character groups are separated by spaces and contain different information about the gearbox as specified below.






First group FM57






Second group B01






Third group A12345

Manual gearboxes have a 6-character designation which starts with a letter according to which line the gearbox was fitted on. Each number series consists of 5 digits.
