Control Panel

Removing







1 Remove the glove box.
2 Remove the side panel on the right side of the centre console.
3 Press out the control panel from the rear and disconnect it from the control shaft.
4 Remove the connectors.







5 Remove the clip securing the wire to the control panel.
6 Unhook the wire loop.

Fitting







1 Fit the control wire at the rear of the control panel. The wire should be positioned above the control shaft.
2 Press on the clip that secures the wire in the control panel.
3 Plug in the connectors.
4 Fit the control panel and fit the control shaft.







IMPORTANT
Make sure that the control shaft is correctly inserted into the heating unit before fitting it to the control panel.


5 Refit the side panels on the centre console.
6 Refit the glove box.


Switches, Control Panel Removing

Removing







1 Remove the control panel.
2 Remove the control knobs from the control panel.


IMPORTANT
Use visegrip pliers if the knobs are difficult to remove. Place a rag between the pliers and the knobs to prevent scratching of the control knobs.


3 Unhook the clips on the front of the control panel.
4 Remove the switches, control panel.

Fitting







1 Fit the switches, control panel.
2 Fit the front section of the control panel.
3 Fit the control knobs.
4 Refit the control panel.

Control Wire

Removing







1 Remove the control panel.
2 Remove both clips that secure the wire to the climate control unit and then remove the wire.

Fitting







1 Refit the control wire at the rear of the control panel. The wire should be positioned above the control shaft.
2 Press on the clip that secures the wire.
3 Plug in the connectors.
4 Refit the control panel.


IMPORTANT
Make sure that the control shaft is correctly inserted into the heating unit before fitting it to the control panel.


5 Fit the wire on the lever for the air-mixing damper.
6 Turn the temperature control knob to max cooling.







7 Push the air-mixing damper lever forwards as far as possible.
8 Press the clips securing the cable sheathing to the climate control unit.
9 Check to make sure that the air-mixing damper seals correctly in respective end positions by turning the heater control to both end positions.
10 Refit the panel on the centre console.
11 Refit the glove box.

Control Shaft

Removing







1 Remove the side panel on the right side of the centre console.
2 Telescope the control shaft and lift it out.

Fitting







1 Fit the control shaft.
2 Refit the panel on the centre console.
