Linkage
Removing in-car1. Lift up the main fuse box.
2. Engage 4th gear.
3. Lock 4th gear in the gearbox with locking pin 87 92 335.
4. Undo the linkage bracket on the engine mounting.
5. Detach the pinch-bolt clamp from the selector rod.
6. Detach the connection from the gearbox
7. Remove the linkage.
Fitting in-car
1. Fit the linkage to the gearbox and selector mechanism but do not tighten.
2. Screw the linkage bracket to the engine mounting.
Tightening torque: 22 Nm (16 ft. lbs.)
3. Engage 4th gear.
4. Lock 4th gear inside the car with locking pin 87 92 632.
5. Tighten the connection to the gearbox.
6. Tighten the pinch-bolt clamp to the selector rod.
Tightening torque: 22 Nm (16 ft. lbs.)
7. Pull out the locking pin.
8. Insert the plastic plug.
9. Extract the locking pin from the gear lever housing.
10. Fit the main fuse box.
11. Check that all gears can be engaged and that the key can be removed in reverse.
