O-Ring and Sealing Ring In Seal Retainer, Left-Hand

To remove
A condition for this is that the gearbox or left-hand drive shaft has been removed.
1. Undo the five screws on the seal retainer and remove the seal retainer. Keep shims, screws and the seal retainer in a safe place.





2. Press out the seal ring with sleeve 87 91 311 and support 87 92 236.





3. Detach the O-ring with a small screwdriver or similar.

To fit
1. Press on the seal with assembly tool87 92 657, and use support 87 92 236.





2. Lubricate a new O-ring and carefully fit it.
3. Lubricate the seal ring.





4. Fit the seal retainer and shims with the screws. Tighten alternately.
Tightening torque 22 Nm (16 ft. lbs.)
