Checking the "Stalling" Speed




Checking the "stalling" speed

Important
This test must not be carried out for longer than
5 seconds! It is not recommended for turbo
variants.

The test indicates the general condition of the engine and transmission by checking the max. engine speed in positions D and R.
Checking the "stalling" speed:






1 Check all four wheels on the car.






2 Apply the handbrake fully.






3 Press the brake pedal hard.






4 Start the engine and move the selector lever to position D.






5 Fully depress the accelerator and quickly read off the highest engine speed. The "stalling" speed should be:
B2341: 2300+ or -150 rpm.
B2O41: 2000+ or -150 rpm.
B2041: 2325+ or -150 rpm.
6 Repeat the test with the selector lever in position R. Stalling speed should be the same as above.
