Torque Converter Seal

To remove
1. Remove the gearbox.
2. Lift out the torque converter.





3. Insert puller 87 92 384 inside the seal and use sliding hammer 83 90 270 to loosen the seal.

To fit





1. Fit the new seal using special tool 87 91 311.
2. Position the torque converter.
3. Check that the torque converter is correctly positioned by placing a steel rule on the torque converter housing's mating surface and measuring the distance between the mating surface and the drive plate's contact surface on the torque converter. The distance should be: min. 9 mm.
4. Fit the gearbox.
