Procedure
Replace the shift lock solenoid using the following procedure.1. Remove the gear selector lever housing.
Important
When working with a dismantled selector lever housing, be sure to protect it from damage by laying it on a soft surface, such as a clean shop rag or a piece of foam rubber.
2. Cut the table ties.
3. Remove the pins for the solenoid from the connector (pins 5 and 6 in the 6-pin connector and pin 2 in the 2-pin connector).
Note

4. Drill out the rivets using a 3 mm drill bit.
5. Separate the upper and lower parts of the selector lever housing slightly at the front. Undo the screws on the solenoid.
6. Undo the lever on top of the solenoid and remove the solenoid.
