Power Steering Pump Pulley Replacement


To remove





1. Remove the air filter unit.
2. Take the strain off the belt tensioner and remove the belt from the pulley.
3. Use a 89 96 423 Puller, power steering pump belt pulley to remove the pulley.

IMPORTANT: The diameter of puller 89 96 423 must be filed up 0.5 mm if it does not fit.


To fit





1. Fit the new belt pulley onto the shaft.
2. Use 0 89 96 415 Fitting tool, power steering pump belt pulley to tighten the new pulley. The pulley must be fitted so that the hub sits flush with the end of the pump shaft.

IMPORTANT: Do not pull the belt pulley too far in.

4. Place the belt on the pulley and tension the belt tensioner.
5. Fit the air filter unit.
