Brief description
Battery
The battery has a terminal voltage of 12V and a capacity of 60 Ah or 85 Ah (depending on the engine variant).
The battery is located to the left in the engine bay, with its negative terminal connected to the body.
WARNING
The battery contains acid, which is corrosive. If acid splashes into the eyes they must at once be rinsed with water for at least ten minutes.
Generator
The generator is of AC type, with a built-in charge regulator.
The generator is driven by the engine via a multigroove V-belt from the crankshaft pulley.
Charge warning lamp
The charge warning lamp indicates to the driver whether the generator is charging or not.
It is located in and powered from the main instrument unit. If the generator is not rotating, or if it is not charging for some reason, the lamp circuit is grounded via the regulator field winding and the warning lamp comes on.
