High Pressure Sensor / Switch: Description and Operation

Pressure Sensor:

The pressure sensor is located on the right side of the condenser, seen in the travel direction of the car. The pressure sensor is a so-called linear pressure sensor and provides, together with the DICE programming, the following functions:
1 It allows the compressor to operate at temperatures down to ±0 °C. The pressure in the system at this temperature is approximately 2 bar.
2 It starts the engine cooling fan (stage 1) at a pressure of 9 bar. When the pressure drops to approximately 7 bar, the fan cuts out again.
3 For cars equipped with a two-stage cooling fan, the second stage starts when the pressure in the A/C system exceeds approximately 18 bar. When the pressure drops to approximately 14 bar, stage 2 cuts out again. The cooling fan continues to operate at stage 1.
4 It opens the electric circuit to the compressor if the pressure exceeds 27 bar. When the pressure has dropped to approximately 24 bar, the compressor cuts in again.

Diagnosis
If diagnostic trouble code B2360 is generated in DICE for the pressure sensor, the A/C compressor will not cut out/cut in.
