Cleaning A Car After Airbag Has Been Triggered
WARNING:
- Wear goggles and protective gloves to avoid the risk of eye and skin irritation when cleaning a car in which the airbag has been triggered.
- The airbag gas generator is very hot immediately after activation.
- When the airbag is triggered, combustion residues are released in the form of dust particles that may contain traces of caustic soda.
- Put the airbag envelope in a tight-sealing plastic bag when it has been removed. Remember that the airbag's gas generator will be extremely hot immediately after the airbag has detonated.
- Thoroughly clean all interior surfaces of the car with a vacuum cleaner.
