Rear Belts




To remove

1 Raise the rear seat, both cushions.







2 5-door: Remove the scuff plates on the right and left-hand rear sills (fastened with clips).
3 Remove the seat-belt anchorages on the sides, they are fastened to the side impact protection.
4 Remove the centre belt anchorage.
5 Remove both the rear head restraints.
6 Remove the head restraint mountings from the belt member. Release the catch inside the sleeve with a screwdriver and tap out the mounting from below.
7 Undo the centre cover on the belt member, it is fastened with clips.
8 Remove the lock handle for the 40% section.







9 Remove the right-hand cover and unhook the cable from the lock arm.
10 Remove the belt member release handle and undo the cable from the handle.
11 Undo the left-hand cover on the belt member.
12 Remove the covers from the seat belts.
13 Remove the inertia reel retaining bolts.

To fit







1 Fit the inertia reel retaining bolts.

Tightening torque 38 Nm (28 lbf ft).

2 Refit the covers onto the seat belts.
3 Refit the left-hand cover onto the belt member.
4 Fit the cable onto the handle and refit the belt member release handle.
5 Hook on the cable to the lock arm and fit the right-hand cover.
6 Fit the lock handle to the 40% section.

NOTE: Make sure the cable runs correctly in the belt member release handle and check that the belt member can be opened and closed properly.

7 Fasten the centre cover to the belt member.
8 Fit the head restraint mountings into the belt member.
9 Fit both the rear head restraints.
10 Fit the centre belt anchorage.







11 Fit the side belt anchorages, they are fastened to the side impact protection.
12 5-door: Fit the scuff plates to the right and left-hand rear sills (fastened with clips).
13 Lower both the rear seat cushions.
