Air Bypass Valve: Testing and Inspection

1 Disconnect the vacuum hose from the bypass valve.







2 Connect pressure/vacuum pump, part no. 30 14 883, and create a vacuum in the valve.
3 Make sure the diaphragm is undamaged. If it is, it will not hold the vacuum.
4 Repeat steps 2 and 3, this time creating positive pressure.







5 Disconnect the pump.
6 Connect the vacuum hose.
