Leak Detection Solenoid: Service and Repair








Dismantling

1 Raise the car.
2 Detach the shut-off valve hose from the EVAP canister.
3 Lower the car slightly.
4 Clean (using compressed air is necessary) and remove the white cover over the shut-off valve.







5 Unplug the connector and lift the valve upwards.
6 Detach the hose connection from the valve.
7 Remove the valve.

To fit







1 Connect the valve to the hose. Make sure that the opening for the cable is correctly positioned.
2 Spray with kontakt 61 and plug in the connector.
3 Carefully lower the valve into the vent pipe.

Important
Be careful with the foam rubber filter so that it is not damaged or incorrectly positioned.







4 Fit the cover.
5 Raise the car.
6 Adjust and connect the shut-off valve hose to the EVAP canister.
7 Lower the car to the floor.
