Checking The Resistance Of The Position Sensor
Unplug the connector:
- Crankshaft position sensor (345)
Take a resistance reading between
1 - Crankshaft position sensor
2 - Crankshaft position sensor
The reading should be 485 Ohm - 595 Ohm
Checking the wiring harness.
Jiggle the leads and in-line connectors at several places and in different directions to reveal intermittent breaks and short circuits in the wiring harness. Observe the multimeter, test lamp or diagnostic tool while doing this.
Is the function correct?
NO - Changing Components - II
YES - Continue With Checking The Resistance Of The Position Sensor
Measure the resistance. The value should be infinite.
1 - Crankshaft position sensor
3 - Crankshaft position sensor
Checking the wiring harness.

NO - Changing Components - II
YES - Check the Crankshaft Position Indicator Mounting
