Determining The Cause Of A Fault







Proceed as follows to determine whether the fault is a control fault or a basic engine/turbo fault.
- Detach the air hose marked W from the charge air valve and check that it is connected to the wastegate valve.
- Drive the car.
- When driving at wide open throttle from a low engine speed, the pressure switch should open before 3000 rpm is attained.

Is the function correct?

NO - Continue With Determining The Cause Of A Fault

YES - Checking the Fuse







- Check the intake system for leakage between the turbocharger and throttle body (e.g. in the charge air bypass valve), the air filter for clogging, the turbocharger for faulty operation, the basic charging pressure for incorrect adjustment, the basic engine for defects and the exhaust system for clo
