System Overview

The cars electrical system is divided into the following wiring harnesses:

- Trionic
- Motronic
- diesel
- dashboard Wiring Harness, Dashboard
- rear Wiring Harness, Rear
- driver's door Wiring Harness, Driver's Door
- passenger door Wiring Harness, Passenger Door
- rear door Wiring Harness, Rear Door
- roof
- luggage compartment lid Wiring Harness, Luggage Compartment Lid
- soft-top cover Wiring Harness, Soft-Top Stowage

and some internal harnesses in components, e.g. electrically operated seat.

The wiring harnesses are in contact with each other through connectors, ensuring that all electrical components get the necessary currents, voltages and signals.
