Background

New software in SID requires a different procedure to reset the "TIME FOR SERVICE" message when using the SID CLEAR button.

Note that if you are using Tech 2, the normal clearing procedure can be followed.

Procedure

To reset "TIME FOR SERVICE" message on SID (not using Tech 2), do the following:

1 Press CLEAR button once.

2 Press CLEAR once more for at least 8 seconds.

SID will beep once, then again. On the 2nd beep it will flash SERVICE.

3 Recycle the key to verify you have cleared the message.
