Operation Mode, Saab 9-3 Convertible
When the soft top is lowered, the ACC system is set according to the following:
- AUTO is extinguished.
- The temperature value is replaced with the position of the air-mixing damper in steps from 1-10, where 10 means max heat.
- The air-mixing damper will set itself in the closest position 0-10 that was used when the soft top was closed.
- The recirculation damper will select the fresh-air position.
- A/C is turned off.
- Electrically heated rear window/door mirrors are turned off.


When the soft top is closed, the ACC-system returns to the same settings that were in effect when the top was opened, providing that the ignition has not been turned off during that time. Otherwise the ACC-system will switch to AUTO mode.

All manual selections except electrically heated rear window/door mirrors and recirculation are possible when the soft top is open.
