Intermediate Pipe
Intermediate Pipe
Dismantling
Important: The flexible section of the intermediate pipe is highly sensitive to bending and must not be angled more than 5° as this could lead to permanent deformation.
1. Raise the car and undo the joints to the front exhaust pipe and front silencer.
2. Remove the pipe.
To fit
Important: The flexible section of the intermediate pipe is highly sensitive to bending and must not be angled more than 5° as this could lead to permanent deformation.
1. Clean the joints.
2. Offer up the exhaust pipe as shown in the illustration and tighten the joints using new clamps.
Tightening torque: 30 Nm (22.5 ft. lbs.)
Important: To avoid leakage, joints should be tightened with new clamps.
Make sure that there is adequate clearance to parts next to the exhaust system.
Also make sure that the tailpipe is positioned symmetrically in the opening cut out for it in the rear bumper.
3. Lower the car to the floor.
