Air Cleaner Housing: Description and Operation

Air cleaner







The air cleaner is located on the right-hand side of the engine bay.

The air Cleaner consists of a rectangular container (air collector casing) in which an air filter is housed. A cover is clamped in place on the container by means of overcentre catches. The cover has a connecting piece for the mass air flow sensor (not on the turbo engine) which is held in place by hose clips.

The intake air is drawn in through a straight forward-facing air intake pipe.

The air cleaner is located on the right-hand side of the engine bay.

The cover has a connecting piece for the mass air flow sensor which is held in place between the air collector casing and the turbocharger intake pipe.

The intake air is drawn in through a resonator, located in front of the RH front wheel.
