Engine Mount: Service and Repair


To remove





1. Raise the car and remove the front wheel on the side of the car on which the engine mounting pad is to be replaced.
2. Remove the wheel arch liner and air shield and place a jack under the engine or gearbox.
3. Unscrew the bolts holding the mounting pad to the body.
4. Lower the engine slightly and remove the mounting pad from its bracket.

To fit





1. Fit the mounting pad to its bracket.
Tightening torque: 39 Nm (29 ft. lbs.)
2. Raise the engine and tighten the mounting pad on the body. Remove the jack.
Tightening torque: 73 Nm (54 ft. lbs.)
3. Fit the air shield and wheel arch liner.
4. Fit the wheel and tighten the bolts.
Tightening torque: 120 Nm (89 ft. lbs.)
5. Lower the car to the floor.
