Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor





To Remove

WARNING: Be careful if the engine is hot. The coolant is very hot and it is also easy to get burnt on the exhaust manifold.

1 Open the expansion tank filler cap and release the pressure. Screw the cap back on.
2 Unplug the temperature sensor's connector.
3 Remove the temperature sensor.





To Fit

1 Fit the temperature sensor, grease the threads with Molycote 1000 or the equivalent.
Tightening torque: 6 Nm (4.5 lbf ft)
2 Plug in the connector.
3 Top up the coolant and check the system for leaks.
