Clutch Switch: Description and Operation
Pedal Switches, Brake And Clutch:
When the brake pedal or clutch pedal is depressed, the pedal switches break the supply of current to control module pin 4 (D) and the cruise control system is disengaged. On cars with automatic transmission the circuit is supplied with current from the gear selector position sensor in positions D, 3, 2 and 1. The pedal switches are factory-fitted on all cars with a manual gearbox, including those without cruise control.
