Replacing Brake Pipes


To remove
1. Clean the connections of the damaged brake line.
2. Unscrew the brake pipe connecting nipples and any other fastening clips.

IMPORTANT: Use a brake wrench for fitting and removing nipples.

3. Insert plastic plugs into the open connections and remove the damaged brake line.


To Fit

WARNING: Brake lines should not be bent or flexed after installation.

1. Blow clean inside the new brake pipe with compressed air.
2. Position the brake line, remove the plastic plugs and tighten the connecting nuts.
Tightening torque: 15 Nm (11 ft. lbs.)
3. Bleed the brake system.
4. Check all the brake pipe connections for leakage.
