Brake pads, rear wheel
To remove
1. Raise the car and remove the wheels





2. Press the brake piston back, using a pair of slip-joint pliers.
3. Remove the pins and keep the retaining spring.





4. Remove the brake pads. If they jam, use the brake pad removal tool.
5. Clean the surfaces where the brake pads are in contact with the brake caliper. Use a soft metal brush. Also check the dust guards.

To fit
1. Grease the sliding surfaces on the brake pads with copper grease.





2. Fit the new brake pads in the brake caliper.
3. Fit the retaining spring and the pins.
4. Fit the wheel and tighten the wheel bolts.
Tightening torque 110 Nm (81 ft. lbs.)
5. Lower the car and depress the brake pedal to press out the brake pistons. Adjust the brake fluid level.
