Hydraulic Body, Front


To dismantle





1. Remove the hydraulic body.
2. Remove the brake pads.
3. Clean the hydraulic body.





4. Press out the brake piston by blowing compressed air through the hose connection.

WARNING: Protect your eyes from fluid splashes. Mind your fingers when the brake piston is pressed out.

5. Remove the dust cap and piston seal.
6. Check for damage due to wear.


To assemble
1. Smear the piston sealing ring with the grease supplied in the kit. Also grease the dust cap.
2. Place the new piston seal into the inner groove in the brake cylinder.





3. Fit the dust cap on the brake piston.
4. Press the dust cap's collar into the brake cylinder's outer groove,
5. Press the piston into the brake cylinder by such an amount that the dust cap fastens in the brake piston's groove
6. Fit the brake pads.

IMPORTANT: The RH and LH outer brake pads are not the same. The pads should be fitted with the metal warning strip facing down.

7. Fit the hydraulic body.
